Faster at the kiosk
Last month's QR code for Pulse kiosks lived inside the attendance screen. This month it moved to the home screen header, next to a new company switcher, so an employee walking up to a kiosk can show it in one tap. The code also stretches to the full width of the screen, which makes it easier for kiosk cameras to read.
Employees can now choose what the code means before they show it: clock in, clock out, break in or break out. If they choose nothing, the kiosk asks them as before. Switching company from the home screen now takes effect immediately, and the home attendance indicator stays in step with the employee's actual clock state.
Clock-in photos and location
The clock-in photo screens were rebuilt to match the new design, the camera preview now fills its frame, and employees can take up to five photos. When a clock-in is refused because the phone seems to be just outside a site's boundary, the app retries once with better location evidence, and TimeKeeper clock-ins retry once when location is briefly unavailable.
Second pass on the redesign
Following the new design system introduced at the end of August, we went back over the app page by page to bring each screen closer to the designs and share more common components. Smaller changes followed from real use: My Crew became My Staff, long values such as email addresses on the Profile screen no longer break mid-word, and tapping a profile value copies it. When Documents is limited for an employee, the app now explains why instead of showing an empty page, and a document that fails to download no longer leaves the screen stuck.
