Connect works with TimeKeeper, crews and kiosks

Our busiest month: Mintage Connect now works with TimeKeeper, lets supervisors clock their crew, handles jobs and schedules, and can clock in at a Pulse kiosk by QR code.

One app for TimeKeeper too

The main work this month was bringing TimeKeeper into Mintage Connect. An employee whose employer uses TimeKeeper, Workforce, Mintage Payroll, or several of them, now sees each product as its own card when choosing a company, marked with the product it belongs to. TimeKeeper clock-ins work without a face photo, sending location where available, while Workforce keeps its face check. The two attendance screens were later separated so each could follow its own rules.

TimeKeeper brought jobs and schedules with it. Employees can clock on to a job, move between jobs during the day, view upcoming schedules, see a detailed punch history, and receive shift notifications. Notifications now open in the right company when someone works for more than one.

Supervisors and kiosks

On many sites, most workers do not carry a phone, but their supervisor does. A new crew screen lets a supervisor see who is present and clock several people at once, including backdating to earlier the same day. Each request is protected so a dropped connection cannot record someone twice. Supervisors can open a crew member's profile, and the camera is hidden from supervisors who have not been given it.

For sites with a Pulse face kiosk, Connect can now show a rotating, signed QR code that the kiosk scans for contactless clocking. The codes are withdrawn when the employee switches company.

Foundations and a new look

We made the release process for the Apple App Store and Google Play more dependable, updated dependencies, and raised the minimum supported versions to Android 14 and iOS 17. The app can now ask employees to update when their version is too old to be supported. Clock-ins that fail a site boundary check retry with a fresh location. The month closed with a new app icon and a rebuild of the main screens on a new, warmer design system.
