Mintage Pulse
Mintage Pulse turns an Android tablet into a face-recognition time clock. Employees look at the camera, Pulse checks it’s really them, and the clock-in lands in Mintage TimeKeeper with a photo and location.

Look at the camera to clock in or out

The problem
Cards get shared, codes get passed around, and paper is filled in after the fact.
A card or a code can be lent to a friend. A face can’t.
Sign-in sheets get filled in late, from memory, or not at all.
When an hour is disputed, there is nothing to show who was actually there.
The solution
Pulse recognises each employee, checks they are a real person standing at the kiosk, and records the clock-in with a photo and location. Your attendance records finally match who actually showed up.
How it works
Pulse runs on an Android tablet you mount at the entrance. Setup takes minutes.
Scan two QR codes from Mintage Workforce settings. Pulse connects securely and opens in kiosk mode.
An admin captures five guided poses per employee right at the kiosk: centre, left, right, up and down.
Employees look at the camera. Pulse checks it’s a real person, recognises them and records the clock-in.
Every clock event arrives in Mintage TimeKeeper with its photo and location, ready for payroll.
Features
Fast for employees, honest for payroll.
Clock in or out by looking at the camera. Pulse recognises the employee and greets them by name.
A passive anti-spoof check runs alongside recognition, so a photo held up to the camera doesn’t pass. Your company can switch it off in TimeKeeper.
For anyone the camera can’t serve, a PIN or an optional wall of profiles still works, and each one takes a clock photo for the record.
The verification frame is attached to each clock-in and clock-out, so disputed hours have evidence behind them.
Location is captured with each clock event, so you know the punch came from the kiosk where it should.
After recognition, employees start a break or clock out with one tap. In and out in seconds.
Admins enrol employees at the kiosk with five guided poses and clear feedback on each one.
Runs full screen in portrait or landscape. In landscape the controls move aside, so the tablet never covers its own camera.
Pulse updates itself from Google Play when it starts, so every kiosk runs the current version.
Our Mintage Pulse Privacy Policy sets out exactly which face data Pulse collects, where it is stored, who can see it, and how employees can withdraw consent and have it deleted.

From the build journal
Employees on a planned shift can now ask for overtime at the kiosk. Pulse also asks for missing profile photos and handles kiosks that do not use face clocking.
Pulse can now clock people in without a tap, enrolment drops to two photos, and work started on an iOS version of the kiosk. The iOS app is not released.
Pulse now sends clock events to Mintage TimeKeeper and gains new ways to clock in: a PIN, a rotating Connect QR code, or tapping your name.
