Two products, one employee record
Since April, employees added in Mintage Workforce have flowed into Payroll for review. In October we filled in many of the gaps that real use exposed.
The Data Sync review now shows an employee's probation status, flags duplicate NIS and TIN numbers with clear messages, and lets a payroll officer reject a new employee or a change with a written reason. If payroll has edited a record after Workforce sent it, that is flagged too, so a later sync cannot quietly undo the edit. Health and Life plans are now shared: Workforce enrolments set the employee's plan in Payroll, plan changes notify Workforce, and a plan already used in payroll is retired rather than deleted. Employee profiles gained a Deductions and Benefits tab.
Joiners, leavers and closing the month
New proration rules handle employees who start or finish part way through a period, with a settings page, indicators in the payroll grid and a clear record of where each start and end date came from. Month-end close can now resume if interrupted, and is checked against the audit trail. Closed periods keep the department, designation and location they closed with, so reports stay accurate after people move. Roles and permissions were rebuilt, with checks on closing and editing past periods enforced on the server.
Also in October
The NIS manual submission now includes the CS6 with a split CS3, payroll can be filtered and journaled by location, and imports show live progress and can retry when stalled. New templates cover payroll adjustments and child allowances. October came to 415 commits.
