Every way to clock in
August was our busiest month yet, with 295 commits, and its main achievement was connecting TimeKeeper to the devices people actually clock in on. Employees can clock in and out from Mintage Connect, our employee app, with a face check where the company uses one, and Connect knows which job they are clocking in to. For crews without phones, a supervisor can clock the whole crew in.
TimeKeeper now works with Pulse, our face-recognition kiosk. Pulse supports face and PIN clock-ins, each company chooses which methods to allow, and each clock photo is stamped with the time and site and shown on the timesheet. Late in the month Pulse also learned to identify employees from a signed QR code in Connect. We added pairing for fingerprint attendance terminals as well, and every device can be tied to a branch so its punches carry a verified location.
Open to more companies
Companies can now sign up and get a workspace of their own, kept separate from every other company's. We added a workplace mode for businesses that run fixed branches rather than jobs, and the app can be installed on a device like a native app and updates live as others make changes.
Running the day
A Today board shows who is in, and live attendance marks people on time or late against windows each company sets. Managers can mark someone absent, close days nobody clocked out of, and reopen a locked week with the right permission. Overtime can now carry day and holiday premiums, and reports export a payroll time register and full timesheet workbooks.
TimeKeeper also began syncing with Workforce: employees, profile photos and public holidays come across, and fields Workforce owns are read-only in TimeKeeper.
