Payslips in employees' pockets
The self-service work from October and November came together in December, when Mintage Payroll was connected to Mintage Connect, our mobile app for employees. A new export option publishes a pay period's payslips to Connect, with its own dialog and a check on its publishing schedule. The employee invitation was updated for this. It can now be sent by email or WhatsApp and describes what the app offers, and the invitation panel shows screenshots of the app.
On the backend, we added push notifications for employees, updated the e-payslip module for publishing, and made larger changes to how sign-in works.
Ending the year tidy
The create-employee wizard was rebuilt, with an updated stepper and a review of its steps. We fixed a bug where a pay period disappeared if every employee in it was deleted. Finalize Payroll is now disabled, with a tooltip explaining why, when a period has no active employees. We also added new formulas and allowances, and updated several payslip and report templates and the NIS report.
The rest of the month went into deployment and housekeeping, including scheduled cleanup jobs and module loading. Employee invitations now handle phone numbers more cleanly, and a few fixes went into self-service before the holidays. There were 242 commits in December. Across the year, Mintage Payroll moved from adding the 2025 tax rules to delivering payslips straight to employees' phones.
