From a number to a list
In January we added a simple number-of-children field. In March we replaced it with something payroll staff can check. A new children form records each child separately, and the employee tab shows how many are currently active. Each child has a details view and an on/off switch, so a claim can stop without the record being deleted.
On the backend, a child allowance claim step now runs as part of payroll processing. It reads those records instead of a typed-in number. We also added a PAYE auto-adjust balance step to the default 2025 processing order, which lets an employee's PAYE figure carry a set adjustment when one is needed.
Pensions, forms and maps
Pension schemes can now take an employee or employer contribution as either a percentage or a fixed amount. We added a CS3 form, fixed the Form 7B report, and payslip PDFs for a period can now be merged into a single file. Week and period maps, which decide which pay periods belong to which month, moved into their own screen and are now stored on the server.
We also made a round of interface changes. Several on/off button groups became tabs, inputs got a tint so they are harder to miss, and the first version of a periodic adjustments screen appeared. That screen is covered next month. Searchable lists can now match fields that are not shown in the table, and gained more sort options. There were 228 commits.
